Gladinet Cloud Desktop is an application that plays nice with storing services. The application allows you to connect to several services that are in the "cloud" and map those services to drives in your computer. We have been over other applications that allow you to upload and download files to services like Gmail in the same way. You add a service and it is added as a network drive on your computer. The principle behind Gladinet's service is the same. However, I have to say that Gladinet accomplishes a lot more than those applications, by including several more features. You can share files with your friends over the Internet and you can also control any computer that you add to Gladinet. The mounting of online storage services is really easy and, once mounted, most services work great. Gladinet also doubles as a password manager for your services, and it allows you to access online applications on your computer. You can for example use a web-based spreadsheet application to open a document locally, and paint, to open any image on the web. The features are countless, and this application is in a beta stage. I can't imagine how good it will be when all the rough edges are polished. The latest version of this applicatio is 0.8.60. However, this review deals with version 0.8.
